A tradition of scientific excellence lives on
A strong scientific profile is key to Profil Germany's success. Over the past years, Profil has published many scientific articles, books, and book chapters. We have contributed numerous oral and poster presentations at the relevant conferences around the world. Our customers value this scientific competence and when we present study results they benefit from the good reputation that "their" CRO enjoys. In line with the goal to maintain a high scientific impact in the community, Profil started to compile a yearly "Science Report" a few years ago.
These science reports are a compilation and analysis of the scientific contributions Profil has communicated in a given year and the past reports are available on our website. When looking at these reports one can nicely see the ever growing impact from year to year, both with respect to original articles as well as reviews, oral presentations, trainings or other contributions.
The Science Report 2015
In 2015, the highlight were certainly the two most prominent publications in Nature Medicine and New England Journal of Medicine. This work underlines the scientific aspirations of Profil Germany and exemplifies how we facilitate the translation of research findings into new products and services for the benefit of people with diabetes. Only our constant investment into expanding our portfolio of state-of-the-art research methods and optimizing our processes allow us to remain at the top of diabetes research worldwide.
See some highlights of this year's Science Report:
- In 2015, we have published peer reviewed articles with a cumulative impact factor of more than 200
- We have presented 39 oral presentations as well as 47 posters at various international conferences
- We have edited one book as well as published three book chapters
- We continue to pass on our knowledge by offering advanced trainings throughout the yea
- We became core partner at EIT Health - the European innovation initiative on active living and healthy ageing
- We have won six research grants
- We have started this blog with a total of 26 posts
- We started a online seminar series that comprised 4 exciting online seminars this year and is set to continue in 2016
