Profil is contributing to explore specific barriers and enabling opportunities in European countries for marketing an AP system functionally enhanced for the treatment of children and adolescents with T1D. In this context the consortium is investigating reimbursement schemes, ensuring the compliance with European regulatory pathways, and outlining future trends and business scenarios.
The D4kids consortium comprises academic, research and industry partners from France, Belgium, and Germany. The project receives funding from the EIT and is curated by the EIT Health knowledge and innovation community (KIC). D4Kids will set another precedent for living the EIT knowledge triangle by integrating the creation of a new business, the education of different audiences as well as technical innovation and clinical development. Profil is EIT Health core partner and the coordinator the the CLOSE EIT Health innovation project. CLOSE is about implementing an AP+ product and service package in the care of people with type 2 diabetes.
